Droplette Launches a Revolutionary At-Home Skincare System That Delivers Ingredients Deep Into Your Skin

Clinically-validated Skincare Technology that Delivers Dermatologist Results

Droplette, a clinically-validated breakthrough skincare delivery system that transforms dermatologist-recommended skincare ingredient serums into a powerful micro-mist, has officially launched.

A recent NewBeauty 2021 award winner for the Innovations category, Droplette, allows for the effective delivery of skincare deep into the skin, delivering molecules that are 10,000x larger than what could traditionally be absorbed by your skin topically, achieving this feat without needles or pain.

This patented technology can effectively help achieve results at home that were previously only possible through treatments with a dermatologist.

Droplette can cross the skin barrier that most topical skincare creams and serums can't. In fact, 90% of skincare ingredients applied topically never absorb beyond the surface of your skin.

The skin's outer layer does a remarkable job at protecting the body against infections and environmental stress and therefore it's not very good at absorbing substances.

Droplette is the only device that seamlessly integrates skincare and hardware to painlessly and effectively deliver key active ingredients deep into the dermal layer of the skin for improved effectiveness.

The Droplette system consists of a micro-mist infusion device.

Each treatment takes about 1 minute and easily fits into your daily skincare routine.

Droplette launched with 3 serum capsules (and several more in the development pipeline), each named for their hero ingredient: Collagen, Retinol, and Glycolic. Each serum capsule has been carefully formulated in collaboration with world renowned dermatologists to target specific skincare concerns including elasticity, firmness, brightness, even skin tone, and texture.

"It's very exciting to be involved in something that is revolutionizing the way in which we get active molecules into the skin.

I am now able to provide my patients with a painless and effective skincare solution that produces long-lasting results," explained member of Droplette's advisory board and Founder of the Boston Center of Facial Rejuvenation, Leonard Miller, MD.

Droplette was founded by two MIT-trained scientists, Madhavi Gavini and Rathi Srinivas, with the hope of one day finding a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare genetic skin disease.

Like most discoveries, Droplette started with a question, "What if we could deliver gene therapy or drugs like pain relievers or antibiotics into the skin with no pain?"

The Droplette technology transforms beneficial treatments into a concentrated micro-mist that is delivered with exceptional velocity deep into the dermal layer of the skin, only previously possible with invasive needles.

Gavini and Srinivas quickly realized that their technology's ability to deliver active, nutrient-rich ingredients directly into the skin has applications in every realm of skincare, including beauty.

Harvard and MIT professors, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons, including Professor Samir Mitragotri, Dr. Rox Anderson, and Dr. Leonard Miller, are among those who have tested the product and serve on the company's scientific advisory board.

Walter Reed Army Institute is working with Droplette to optimize the device for the treatment of soldiers' blast wounds.

Droplette received grant funding from NASA, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and the National Institutes of Health.

Droplette is currently available for purchase at www.droplette.io.

About DropletteDroplette is the first needle-free, pain-free, at-home device that transforms traditional water-based serums into millions of tiny, rapidly moving droplets that can bypass the skin's barrier 20x more deeply than topicals.

Through a combination of fluid dynamics, the piezoelectric effect, and Fick's laws of diffusion, Droplette's inner mechanisms deliver key ingredients effectively into the skin.

It's the combination of size and velocity that allows for this unique effect, which is such a breakthrough that it has the backing of NASA, MIT, and the US Army.

The Droplette team is dedicated to using the power of technology to unlock new therapies and make current ones more effective, to ensure the delivery of key ingredients is never the reason treatments fail.

Rico Nasty’s 5-step routine for dewy skin: 'It doesn’t matter how expensive your skincare is if you got bad vibes around you'

Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the products and deals we love. If you love them too and decide to purchase through the links below, we may receive a commission. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

Eclectic 23-year-old rapper Rico Nasty is still basking in the glow of her debut album Nightmare Vacation.

The lockdown hasn’t slowed the booked and busy artist down. She performed her recent single “OHFR?” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January, snagged the coveted role of Savage X Fenty ambassador and launched a makeup collab with Il Makiage in 2020.

Rico gave In The Know a peek at her Fenty-obsessed five-step skincare routine.

Step 1: Cleanse

Rico applied the Fenty Skin Remove-It-All Cleanser onto dry skin since too much water tends to dry her out. She removed the cleanser with a damp cloth instead of drenching her skin.

“Right now I don’t have any makeup but if I had on makeup this is what I would be using to wash it off,” Rico said

Step 2: Lip Mask

She grabbed her tube of the Bite Agave + Intensive Lip Mask.

“The first time I tried this, I got it as a tester and it was so good I just kept using it ever since then. This has been in my routine for probably like a year now,” she said. “I’ve bought like five of these.”

Step 3: Tone

Rico poured the Fenty Skin Fat Water onto her hands and pressed it into her skin with her palms.

“I love the Fat Water because I get to smack myself when I put it on,” Rico said. “I’ve always had sensitive skin.”

Step 4: Sunscreen

She opted for the Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Sunscreen. Rico took her time massaging the product into her skiin. She lamented that she wished she knew about facial massages sooner — it’s a trick she learned from makeup artists on set.

“I was definitely one of those people that was like, ‘I don’t get sunburned so why would I have to wear sunscreen?'” she said. “Sunscreen definitely became like an everyday part of my routine very, very young because I used to get sunspots.”

Step 5: Primer

Rico prefers the Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas for heavy stage makeup because it lasts all day.

“This really became one of the things I used over quarantine that I fell in love with,” she said of the Tatcha primer.

But on days where she wears light makeup like this one, she swears by the Milk Makeup Sunshine Oil. She used the roller to swipe the oil on her face.

“It’s three things I feel like are the key to flawless skin. Number one is drinking water. Just because you put on a lot of expensive products does not mean that your skin is automatically going to be OK,” she said.

Her second piece of advice was, “Get some rest, if you’re not getting any sleep, you’re going to sleep at three o’clock in the morning every night you’re gonna have bags under your eyes.”

But her third rule was all about maintaining positive energy.

“The third rule is no f*** boys,” she half-joked. “I feel as though staying away from negative people really does help. It doesn’t matter how expensive your skincare is if you got bad vibes around you that s*** is gonna rub off on your motherf***ing skin.”
